Hadia Hassan is a Pakistani-Canadian artist and painter, primarily working in acrylic and oil. For the past four years, her subjects have included landscapes and still life paintings focusing on temporal experiences. She uses nature for inspiration and aims to show the influence of time by using earthy colours and fading imagery to hint at ephemeral experiences. In her work, she aims to bring forth discussions with the audience about how we view our natural surroundings. Her goal is to depict subjects we do not pay attention to on a daily basis and suggest how these moments are ingrained in our memory. In focusing on these mundane details, she hopes to create a connection in the viewer's mind addressing how quickly or slowly an experience can diminish.
